Case Study: American Trails

American Trails celebrates decades of working on behalf of all trail interests. Their website is one of the world's most comprehensive online sources for planning, building, designing, funding, managing, enhancing, and supporting trails, greenways, and blueways.

The Challenge

American Trails is building an interactive platform for professionals in the trail industry can sort, filter and find local skilled contractors in a variety of applications. This platform is anchored by an interactive map of professionals who can be easily filtered and sorted to find the ideal candidate to work with.

The solution

We worked alongside the American Trails team to integrate an interactive, hyper-searchable map with instant results and dynamic content. Behind the scenes, we leveraged Craft CMS (https://craftcms.com/) and a custom integration with Algolia (https://www.algolia.com/). Every record that is updated by one of the self-managed profiles is automatically sync'ed with Algolia's Search Index for instant availability on the interactive map.
